RATES
Square Inch Price
I charge 2.5 cents per square inch for all edge-to-edge designs.
Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches.
60 x 80 = 4800 x .025 = $120.
My minimum quilting charge is $50. This means that a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $50 minimum.
Feeling a little bit extra? I love to do custom computerized quilting. Use the Book a Quilt button to tell me about your quilty aspirations, and we'll work together on a design and a quote. Custom work typically ranges from 4.5 to 8.5 cents per square inch.

Batting

I use and stock my favorite Quilters Dream batting in the 80/20 cotton/poly blend, 100% cotton, and wool. Samples are available for you to see how they quilt up and which you prefer.
Batting is a separate charge and is not included in the square inch price.
I charge for batting by the linear inch from queen rolls of batting, except in the case of special orders. I will use only what is needed for your quilt (smallest side + a 5" margin) and charge per inch.
Current prices are listed on the intake form when you book your quilt.
You are welcome to supply your own high-quality batting from your stash as well!
Thread
I stock both Glide, Innovatech, and YLI threads. I don't charge any extra fees for thread use; it's included in your square inch price.
My personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt. But this is YOUR quilt! Let me know if you have a preference on thread color.

Shipping
Shipping your top and backing to me: I live in Phoenix, Arizona and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. I'd recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of sack or bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly. Packages are received during business hours at a reception desk (not left alone on a porch)
Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above via USPS Priority mail (using flat rate when possible/economical). Priority mail comes with $50 of insurance and a tracking number but please indicate on your intake form if you would like me to buy any additional insurance on your behalf. It's a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage while with the Postal Service, but I don't require it.
If you are local, you're welcome to drop off your quilt, or if our schedules jive, meet up somewhere in the middle for a handoff. I am located just outside of downtown Phoenix, close to the intersection of the I-10, I-17, and US-60.

Other Costs
As mentioned above, batting is not included in the square inch price. I'm required by the city, county and state of Arizona to collect sales tax on the batting portion of an invoice. Quilting services and any design/pantograph fees are not subject to sales tax. If you require shipping, you pay what I pay.
Payment
More quilty math. I hope the pricing above is straightforward and you're able to get a good estimate of what it will take to finish your quilt before it's in my hands. I can always provide an estimate as well.
After the work is complete, I will invoice you. I really do appreciate timely payments as that enables me to mail/return your project(s) back to you right away. I accept - in order of preference/fees - cash, Zelle, checks (established customers only), and all major credit cards.
